This is an exciting and high profile opportunity to lead the Australian Government’s engagement on Health and HIV in Indonesia, during an unprecedented phase of growth in the Australian aid program.

To support Indonesia meet its health challenges and to achieve its complex health sector reforms, the successful candidate will be a senior development professional with extensive experience and knowledge of the health sector in low and middle income countries. They will also have significant experience as a team leader, ideally within multilateral, bilateral and/or international non-governmental organisation operations.

As a member of the AusAID senior management team, the appointed Health Director will be responsible for growing and delivering the health and HIV/AIDS portfolio in Indonesia.
The incumbent will play a pivotal role in leading and managing the AusAID Indonesia Health and HIV/AIDS team to deliver an effective and results focused program, and in providing strategic direction to the AusAID health and HIV/AIDS portfolio across Indonesia. The Director will ensure the delivery of the new, expanded, health and HIV/AIDs program in Indonesia which will include leading the representation of Australia in high level policy dialogue with the Government of Indonesia, other development partners, civil society and academia in this sector.
