STPI Communications Officer
Report to : Advocacy and Communication Coordinator
Type of contract : Full time
Duration : 1 year (Contract)
SCOPE OF WORK
The Stop TB Partnership Indonesia (STPI) is a national platform of Stop TB Partnership. STPI provides a platform of inter-sectorial partnership that supports National Tuberculosis Program (NTP) since 2013. This organization consists of 75 national and international partners that collaborate to end TB in Indonesia. STPI operates under the strategic direction of a wide range of expertise, such as the Board of Trustees and Advisory Board, representing public health practitioners, academia, development partners, as well as public and private sector.
We are looking to employ a dedicated Communications Officer to join our team supporting our internal and external communications strategy, write and disseminate publicity materials, manage social media, manage relations with media, and coordinate organizational events. We prioritize candidates who have above-average communication and interpersonal skills as well as some proficiency in creative work such as design and multimedia.
DUTIES
  1. Develop regular content for STPI’s social media and collate analytics and metrics to improve engagement
  2. Write, edit, and distribute content, including multimedia publications, press releases, website content, newsletter, and other materials that communications STPI’s activities
  3. Assist the Advocacy & Communications Coordinator to plan internal and external organizational events
  4. Collaborate with the Advocacy & Communications Coordinator to develop and implement effective communications strategy based on our vision and missions
  5. Collaborate with STPI Governance & Partnership team to write, edit, and distribute content about pilot project activities
  6. Establish and maintain effective relationships with journalists involved in STPI activities
  7. Develop and maintain STPI’s internal media coverage and media database of TB-related news
  8. Identify opportunities to enhance STPI’s brand and coordinate publicity collaborations with relevant external stakeholders
  9. Proactively handle challenges as it arises and escalate relevant issues to Advocacy & Communications Coordinator
QUALIFICATION
  1. Holds at least a bachelor degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Health or related fields
  2. 1-2 years of relevant experience in non-governmental organizations
  3. Proven understanding and experience in planning and implementing organizational events
  4. Proven work experience demonstrating above-average interpersonal and, both verbal and written, communications skills
  5. Proven understanding and experience in planning and managing STPI’s social media
  6. Proficiency in photography, design publishing software (InDesign/Photoshop/Adobe Illustrator) or CANVA
  7. Knowledge in producing and editing short videos
  8. Knowledge in Wix website builder
  9. Demonstrates good English language skills (oral, reading, writing)
  10. Proven ability to prioritize a high workload and juggle competing demands
  11. Demonstrates constructive attitude, positive-thinking, effective problem solving, and ability to adapt with team members and stakeholders
  12. Self-starter with the ability to work independently and to deliver quality work on time
  13. Demonstrates understanding of tolerance and values diversity of cultural, gender, religion, race, nationality and age
