FINANCE OFFICER for The Center for Public Policy Transformation (Transformasi) - Jakarta

The Center for Public Policy Transformation is a non-profit think tank organization aiming at promoting evidence-based policy in Indonesia. Transformasi has been collaborating with policymakers, domestic and international scholars to analyse pressing policy issue in Indonesia. To support the running projects, Transformasi is hiring a Finance Officer.

Reporting to the Finance and Administration Director, the Finance Officer will be responsible for daily transaction review, budget preparation, financial report preparation, payroll and taxation issues.

Job Description:
  1. Implement financial policies and procedures set by Transformasi and donor(s)
  2. Ensure proper accounting, activity and donor codes on vouchers and ensure vouchers are supported with donor requirement documents
  3. Ensure vouchers have been signed as payment approval legitimate by Finance & Administration Director
  4. Ensure payments are in line with program budget or approved-work-plan
  5. Ensure financial transactions are correctly entered into the system in timely manner
  6. Maintain accounting system such as creating new account/activity code, input annual budget, etc
  7. Assist Finance & Adminsitration Director preparing budget for new project proposal
  8. Prepare program activities budget, budget revision and budget analysis 
  9. Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual financial reports following donor reporting schedule
  10. Make sure bank reconciliation and cash count are prepared by Finance Assistant/officer correctly and in timely manner
  11. Prepare monthly tax calculation (PPh 21, PPh 23, 4 (2), 25, 28, 29), payment, reports and filing
  12. Responsible for all taxation issues including liaise with tax officer
  13. Calculate and process payment of payroll and BPJS Ketenagakerjaan
  14. Responsible for A/R and A/P recording
  15. Ensure the audit requirements are delivered properly
  16. Assist the Finance & Administration Director preparing the financial figures and notes for audit purpose and reviewing the audit report
  17. Maintain a proper and systematically financial filing
  18. Any other duties assigned by the Finance & Administration Director as required
  1. Bachelor degree in Accounting / Taxation
  2. More than 6 years’ work experiences in related field
  3. Experienced with USAID project is preferable
  4. An excellent team player
  5. Demonstrate a strong initiative, independent and efficient attitude
  6. Discipline and possess an excellent planning skill
  7. Flexible, innovative, a self-starter and also being highly detail-oriented.
  8. Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to the Center’s mission of promoting evidence-based policy
  9. Willing to be place in Jakarta or Semarang
Skills required:

  3. Computing proficiency with competency in the use of Microsoft products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
